Four teams competed in the grand setting of the Old Council Chamber, University of Bristol. A closely fought contest included rounds on Japan, Geography in the News, European Countries and OS Maps. The final round ‘What island is this?’ saw some last minute changes in the table and a tense ending: Beechen Cliff School Bath won with an excellent score, Redland High School caught up to draw even with King Edward’s School Bath, while Bristol Grammar School’s bold attempt to pitch early in the round to get ahead were unsuccessful and they fell to 4th place after impressive early rounds.
